Your health insurance plan benefits may cover nutrition services as part of the benefit packages. I am an in-network provider for many major commercial insurances including:

If your health insurance company isn’t listed, it doesn’t mean that you don’t have coverage. Call the number on the back of your insurance card to find out if your plan covers nutrition counseling with a Registered Dietitian (RD).

Ask the following questions:

• Do I have nutrition counseling benefits?

• Do I need a specific diagnosis to receive coverage?

• How many visits are covered and when do the benefits renew? (every January? every June?)

• Do I need a referral

• If there’s a co-payment due at the time of service
